TRICY, THREE WHEELS
IN COUNTLESS DIRECTIONS

Every summer from 1920 onwards, Vittorio would get on his bike and cycle the 593 kilometres to Redipuglia. It was his way of reconnecting with himself and the world; feeling the road beneath his tyres, the wind in his face, fatigue in his legs and freedom in his heart.

Extreme heat, rain, interminable straight roads? It didn’t matter. Vittorio cycled, year after year, enjoying the changing scenery and always pushing himself a little bit harder.

As he advanced in age, his legs could no longer manage the epic journey. His body called a truce, but his heart still wanted to go. So his family started to think: what if there were a way to keep him on the road?

And this led to the idea of Tricy, half bicycle, half tricycle, a new travelling companion that would allow Vittorio to continue his dream.

Building it was not easy; first there was a lengthy research phase involving a team of engineers and specialists from Proteco.
But we did it!

Today, this story has become a symbol; because deep down, every one of us has a Redipuglia to reach, even if it’s only the school where we take our children.

And Tricy is here to take us in any direction we choose, and give us every day the freedom of heart that Vittorio sought all those summers ago.
